IN 1992 A PROMOTIONAL DIVISION OF THIS TRADEMARK WAS CREATED AND TRAVELED EXTENSIVELY THROUGHOUT WESTERN CANADA OFFERING PLANET FITNESS IPFA GYM MEMBERSHIPS. IN 1993 THE FIRST PURPLE BRANDED PLANET FITNESS WAS OPENED IN MEDICINE-HAT ALBERTA, CANADA. BY 1994 PLANET FITNESS IN RED DEER WAS FULLY BRANDED DISPLAYING THE LOGO BELOW ON MARQUEE. IN 1996 THE PLANET FITNESS TRADEMARK WAS FIRST LICENSED TO PLANET MASSAGE THERAPY IN CANADA AND CURRENTLY IS OPERATED UNDER TRADEMARK LICENSE. IN 1998 THE PLANET FITNESS TRADEMARK WAS LICENSED TO PLANET FITNESS L.A INC. IN LEDUC ALBERTA, CANADA. THE PLANET FITNESS CANADIAN TRADEMARK IS STILL OPERATED FROM IT’S ORIGINAL LOCATION IN RED DEER ALBERTA, CANADA. NO OTHER (KNOWN GYM) IN CANADA HAS OPERATED LONGER THAN THE PLANET FITNESS CENTRE TRADEMARK. THE PURPLE PLANET FITNESS TRADEMARK WAS PROUDLY FOUNDED RIGHT HERE IN CANADA, AND HAS NO ASSOCIATION WITH OR TO THE AMERICAN BRAND.

Long day selling Memberships for Mark, but still always time to train. Some days we could do over three hundred new members! Very long days Promoting Gyms.

Elaine was Amazing running our front desk Promoting ... for Planet Fitness, from town to town. Never a dull moment for us all~:)  

Traveled many Cities in Canada Promoting Planet Fitness with Mark speaking to the lost youth then doing his" FEATS" of Strength, always impressive .... Mark has a heart of gold for the young and hurting out there.

Planet Fitness was "Graced" all those years to have Dean Mearns doing all our Fitness Programs... some days over thirty new members booked with him and he could make them all happy! Wow!   ( Dean Mearns one of Planet Fitness Co- Founders )

We removed our racquetball court in 1987 and made room for a new "Free Weight Area" with 140 LBS Dumbbells....crazy   days!

True story... The minute I meet Mark Marshell I quit Bodybuilding ... I shook his hand and his arms were well over 22 inches around!  I was done!

We once housed the first of it's kind State of the art indoor Golf course ...  18 full holes of World renowned Pebble Beach, California! This area is now our cardio room. Some Fun times with being located in a Hotel...  Major Big Name Bands from the 80's & 90's would stay here and play golf all day long before they played each night. Good thing back in those days we had a Liquor License! If only the walls could talk~ :) Trust me it was Crazy! Every- " top" 80's band visited Planet Fitness / back in the day... OVER 300 COVER BANDS SINGED THE WALLS....@pLANET~ We painted over a few big names in what's now are cardio room...lol.

 Planet Fitness mailed over "1,000,000" promotional items each year ...  We created hundreds of different promotions tools used by our I.P.F.A PARTNERS... here are just a few that rocked in the day! Things were very different back then, and Canada post direct mail was by far the "best" way to reach thousands of people very fast~  THIS FORM OF ADVERTIZING ALWAYS GAVE US Amazing RESULTS... TOday you can Hit a button on your computer... and do the same THING... Marketing sure has changed over the years!  We still do use mails - outs on Special occasions...but 90% of everything WE DO today is done Online ~ It's a "GREAT" new generation of marketing FOR ANY & ALL business ~  You can reach out to any area, age group or City ... And no more printing bills!!!! Or carrying huge boxes each week into THE Post office... also saves a few trees along the way!

This was my personal favorite mail out promotion to do... Planet Fitness gave away thousands of free trips to money city~ Los Vegas, thanks to Sprite Travel USA.  Mailed this one out all over B.C and Alberta for years traveling with Planet Fitness and the Promo team.

  Can't forget Shelley Williams working for Planet Fitness Promo team on  the road promoting  our Planet Fitness memberships and I.P.F.A. She also helped drive in the people!
